The 10th International Conference on Han Characters Education and Research

Objectives
Han-characters shared in a variety of forms among a number of Asian languages constitute a uniqueness in linguistics. Hanja is taught in Korea, kanji in Japan, Chinese in Mainland China and Singapore learn simplified hanzi while Chinese in Taiwan and Hong Kong learn their traditional variants. This Conference aims to bring together scholars, researchers and practitioners from different Asian countries to foster international knowledge exchange and research collaboration on Han-characters education and research. Building upon accomplishments and successes of the first nine conferences, the tenth one will be held in Poznań, Poland, in 20~22, February 2020.
Themes
(1) Han-character education: including theoretical frameworks, teaching and learning materials, pedagogical strategies, information technology in Han character education; classical or literary Chinese among others.
(2) Research on Han-characters: including history, philology, theoretical studies, annotation, graphemic analysis, etc.
(3) Other related areas: research on Chinese language teaching and Chinese linguistics.
